About Me:
I began my radiology career nearly 30 years ago, initially training as a radiography student and eventually working my way up to becoming a board certified, fellowship trained radiologist. I was initially attracted to radiology because it enabled me to practice the humanitarian art of medicine in an ever advancing, cutting-edge technical environment.

Bostonian by birth, I am Irish by heritage. I returned to the motherland for my medical school training. Medicine in Ireland is very much taught in the classical tradition, with emphasis on basic sciences, history taking and physical examination. With that solid foundation in the fundamentals of diagnosis, I was then able to round out my medical education with diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship. During my career, I have been fortunate to practice radiology at nearly every level . . . as a technologist, medical school instructor, college professor and finally as a private practice radiologist with Beverly Radiology Associates. I have worked with all populations, including top level athletes like The Boston Celtics and the US Olympic Gymnastics Team. Through my affiliation with BRA, I have even been fortunate to bring my skills overseas for volunteer medical missions in Guatemala.

In my spare time, I am an avid musician. I enjoy playing multiple instruments, recording, mixing and playing live whenever possible. When not in the radiology department or recording studio, I may be found sailing or in front of the TV indulging in a good documentary.
